A Cleaning Routine You Can Finally Keep Up With

A realistic weekly cleaning schedule that keeps your house clean — without cleaning all the time.

Who this guide is for

If you ever feel like:

  • You have to clean all the time to stay on top of it.

  • After you clean, it’s back to chaos by evening.

  • You don’t have time to keep a clean house.

  • You’ve got a million tabs open in your brain of what needs to be done.

  • You fall so behind, you need to do huge weekend cleaning marathons.

  • You want an easy, default system that the whole household can help with.

Steal my system

I created this solution after seriously considering hiring a weekly cleaning service — but I wanted the results of a weekly cleaner, not the cost.

So I figured out a weekly house cleaning schedule that:

  • keeps everything clean enough (without constant upkeep)

  • removes the mental load of “what needs to be cleaned when”

  • doesn’t require giving up your weekend

  • and is realistic enough to actually stick with (but it’s designed so that even if you miss a week, it’s a-okay!)

Now? Our house is almost always in a good spot — and I spend way less time thinking about chores, so I can focus on the good things in life.

Why This Works (When Other Cleaning Schedules Don’t)

Most cleaning routines fail because they try to do too much at once.

This one works because:

  • You’re cleaning everything regularly—but never all at once

  • Nothing ever gets so bad that it turns into a deep clean

  • You can finish your weekly cleaning in about an hour

  • You’re not carrying the mental checklist in your head

  • It’s designed to be imperfect — if you miss a week or rush through one, you’re still in a great spot

It’s a realistic cleaning schedule designed for people who have full lives.
